Waterfall on Papenoo River

Geology students will wonder what minerals are in this lava and what conditions made it crystalize in these pentagonal columns above the black cave.
We have not often seen this kind of formation.

Here's a Look Downstream.

The output from the waterfall rushes to join the nearby river, but slows for a brief time in the nice little pond mirroring the grassy bank.
