Each mosque has a courtyard with a fountain in the center. In the days before
there was much personal hygene available people would wash their feet with
water from the fountain before they would enter for prayer.

This it is impossible to get far enough away from the courtyard walls in order
to get a good picture of the walls and dome structures above.
