The Pile Tower
As we leave old town, we see the Pile Tower that makes up a part of the ramparts that surround the old city.
Those spots of color on top of the wall are tourists doing their sightseeing from that vantage point.
If you are into sight seeing, walking the city wall is a must do while you are here. Our traveling friends, Ernst and Gertrude Meyer did that while they were here. We will see their pictures taken from the city wall, but first we will take a bus ride into the countryside.
