Montevideo Has Plenty of Apartments, Too.

Left: This building was constructed by a local eccentric. I believe it is a theater.
Right: A hotel near the beach. You can't tell that we were driving along the beach on the Rio de la Plata because the coating on the bus windows put a pattern on across-the-bus pictures and made them unusable.

In their defense for such an ugly building, our guide said it was build at a time when there was a lot of terrorism. It was built like a fortress. It seems that there is nothing new.
