Our friends, Ernst & Gertrude Meyer,
on the other hand, arrived in Monaco ten days later on the same ship.
The weather was perfect, and ms Rotterdam was able to dock at the quay in the port of Monaco.

It was 8:30 in the morning, and Gertrude took time to take some snapshots of their surroundings before leaving the ship for a day on the town.

Ten days before this, we watched one about that size struggle to to get past the jetty and out to the open sea against the high wind-driven waves. It was nose high then tail high, as she bobbed her way through the waves.
