7:50 PM: We slide by the Cape.

The next day, Captain Mercer later told us that we had outrun a storm with winds
up to 100 m.p.h. and 50 foot waves!   Even in the 55,000 ton Ryndam, I think that would have been very rocky ride, not to mention dangerous.
