Earthquake Damage
External supports hold off building collapse in a village in the seismically active area near Mt. Etna. The volcano rumbles and the earth frequently quakes and shakes.
A Latter Day Ruin
This ruin is not left over from the Greek or Roman occupation of this land.
A Village Near The Mountain
We look across former croplands fenced and cross-fenced with lava-rock walls.
A village nestles against a foothill ridge created by some ancient lava flow.
