This is a lovely city, but the air is so polluted from the coal smoke emitted by the power plant and dust blown in from the Gobi Desert. It was gray while we were there.

This appears to be the corner, like in most US towns, where men wait for someone to offer day work.

This is a new up-scale residential development.
