The Jade Buddha Temple
Monks Were At Prayer
before something distracted their attention. I don't know how the monks or the worshippers at the temple can think of what they are trying to do with all the distractions of many, many tourists tramping through the facility. I suppose they help with financial support of the temple, by putting up with this.
A Reclining Buddha
This and the gold buddha below were on the third floor of the temple. It seemed that we climbed flight after flight of airless narrow stairs to get up there. The stairwells were clogged with people. We were not allowed to take pictures of the Jade Buddha.
Eventually We Were Ready To Go
It's lunch time, then it will be time for a visit to the famous outdoor shopping mall of Shanghai, Nanjing Road.
